This week I am tapering, so I only have to do a total of 7 miles. That just seems like a piece of cake at this point. I may throw in a few yoga sessions early in the week, but Thursday and Friday I am going to completely rest my legs. I am going to carb load both of those rest days and drink tons of water. I know that I will be nervous, but I have really trained well for this marathon and I am excited to go out there and get it done. Plus, I cannot wait to put that 26.2 sticker on my Suburban! :)

Superheroes
On Friday morning, I met up with 3 of my running friends to do 8 miles. It was a beautiful sunny day and it felt great to be out there running my last long run before the marathon. It was a blast! We talked, laughed, complained and laughed some more. We crossed paths with a woman out for a morning walk and she looked at us and said, "You girls look like superheroes!" I thought how cool is that? We have been running hard for 16 weeks, our legs are strong and our spirits are high. We are getting ready to run a marathon! Then, I realized that sometimes after a run I really do feel like a superhero or that I can conquer the world. It feels so great to know that you just ran 15 or 20 miles. I am so excited to cross that finish line on Saturday!
