Day 26

I was suppose to do a stretch workout today, but decided to run 6 miles instead. I wanted more intensity. The run was great and the weather beautiful!

Day 24

This week is my drop down week, so I have been trying to get some running in on top of my P90X workouts. I ran 5 on Monday with friends and did Chris' workout with him in the evening- cardio, legs & back plus Ab Ripper. I really liked getting a double workout in.

Yesterday, I did Core Synergistics for the first time and ran a mile on my treadmill. I should have ran more, but I just wasn't in the mood. I enjoyed Core Synergistics except for Sphinx Push-ups and Plank to Chaturanga Run. It is seriously going to take me awhile to get that darn Chaturanga Run down. DIFFICULT!

Today I did Kenpo. I attempted to do it while listening to my ipod, but was unsuccessful. You really need to hear what they are telling you throughout the workout. I don't sweat like they do on the DVD though. I think they just turn up the heat when they do that workout. I just can't sweat while punching and kicking at nothing.

Overall, I am feeling great and excited (and a little scared) for my 30 day pictures coming up.

Day 17 Recap of the Last Few Days

Saturday- I ran 6 miles instead of doing Kenpo.

I rested on Sunday, which was necessary because I had the stomach flu. How convenient for my body to make sure that if I am going to get the stomach flu it happens on my rest day. :)

I was still miserable Monday, but did my Chest & Back workout knowing that I have a commitment going on.

Tuesday- I did Plyometrics with Chris. That is a great workout and I really love it!

Wednesday- Arms & Shoulders AKA Glamour Muscles plus Ab Ripper. I feel like my arms are getting more definition and I love that! Especially since summer is on the way.

Today I wore a pair of khaki shorts and they were a baggy on me. My weight really isn't changing, but I think my body shape is. For me that is exciting because I get discouraged when I don't see change. I really am not in this for a weight loss though. I want to gain muscle and have more definition.

Day 12

Things are getting easier and I feel great! Today was legs & back plus Ab Ripper, which is one of the most challenging workouts for me. Kayler has been doing Ab Ripper with me 3 days a week and today her friend Frances joined us in the fun. I hope one day to get through that darn 17 minutes without rolling over in pain and screaming at Tony Horton.

Last week, after doing legs & back I was EXTREMELY sore in all the areas I don't like, so that made me very happy. I like knowing I am working my flawed areas.

Last night, I spent more time on You Tube looking at P90X before & after videos and continue to be amazed at other people's results. I love seeing progress and success stories. I don't know if any of you have seen Pink on Oprah Winfrey, but she does P90X to stay in shape. She looks fantastic! She did mention that she mutes Tony Horton at times, which made me laugh because I would love to do that once in awhile. I suppose he's growing on me though.
